K9to5 Littles – frequently asked questions
We are here to put your mind at ease. If you’re a new client to K9to5 Littles you may have a few questions about how the daycare and grooming process works. We invite you to take a few moments to browse through our frequently asked questions below. Should you not find the answer to a specific question please feel free to contact us.
Days & Hours:
For your convenience K9to5 Littles is open Monday to Friday 7am to 5.45pm. (Closed Public Holidays) Dogs can be dropped off at 7am (no earlier) & must be picked up by 5.30pm. A late pickup fee will be charged at $10.00 per 10 minutes or part thereof. If you’re going to be late please advise us ASAP.
All new dogs must be here at 7am on their first day – No Exceptions! This is to familiarise the dog with the environment before the other dogs arrive.
All dogs must be 4 months of age or older before commencing day care. Puppies must have been at home for 2 weeks prior to coming to day care.
Shelter dogs and/or adopted dogs must have been in their new home for a minimum of 3 months prior to his/her first day care admission.
All dogs over the age of 7 months must be neutered or spayed. Owners must submit official documentation as proof.
All dogs must have up to date vaccinations. Owners must submit official documentation as proof that their dog/s have a current C5 vaccination, which includes Canine Cough.
All dogs must be in good health. Owners will need to certify that their dog is in good health and has not been ill in the last 30 days. On admission all dogs must be free from any illness/condition that could potentially be communicated to other dogs.
Owners will need to certify that their dog has not harmed or shown aggression or threatening behaviour towards any persons or other dogs. We will accept your verbal assurance.
For the safety of others, owners must be aware that if their dog is Lead Reactive on their way into or out of the daycare, they may not be suitable for daycare.
Due and payable in the morning of admission on the day of each attendance. Bulk payments are accepted.
Required. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice and no-shows will be charged full fees.
Do you accept Large Dog Breeds?
We are no longer accepting enrolments for larger breeds. Dogs must be 15kg and under.
Do you accept unspayed or unneutered dogs?
We only accept unneutered or unspayed dogs under 6 months. All dogs over 6 months must be neutered or spayed. Proof must be given at enrolment.
No alternative forms of sterilisation are accepted in lieu of desexing.
What vaccinations are required?
We require a current Distemper, Parvovirus, Hepatitis, Bordetella Bronchiseptica and Canine cough certificate. Proof must be given at enrolment.
At what age do you accept dogs?
Approximately 14 weeks. We only accept enrolments for dogs after they have received their 12 week vaccination and we recommend waiting a further 10 to 14 days before socialising with other dogs.
Do you feed dogs during the day?
Yes, only if your dog has special dietary needs eg. is puppy or a diabetic. Then you can bring your food from home. Labelled with dogs name on it.
We do hold regular doggy birthday parties. If your dog has an intolerance to certain food please inform us at enrolment.
