SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY

Social Responsibility

The K9to5 team members are passionate about the welfare of animals. We realize that not all dogs are as loved as our doggy daycare pals and we believe it is our responsibility to assist, educate and inspire our clients and the wider community about the importance of responsible dog ownership. We also endeavor to raise funding and support for less fortunate animals and of course, we like to help out the humans too!

We have been involved with many community events and not-for-profit organisations over the past few years, which we are very proud of. Some of our favourites are listed below…

RSPCA

  • Kennel sponsorship:  We sponsor two kennels in Perth, with our funding being used to care and maintain the health and wellbeing of the dogs waiting to be adopted into their forever home.
  • Cup Cake Day: The K9to5 team participate in the RSPCA’s annual ‘Cupcake Day’ by baking and selling cupcakes and pupcakes to our clients, family and friends. All money donated goes directly to the RSPCA in W.A.
  • Million Paws Walk: Every year the K9to5 team along with our equally enthusiastic clients and dogs participate in the ‘Million Paws Walk’ held at Sir James Mitchell Park in South Perth.
  • Happy tails day: We also sell ‘Happy Tails’ merchandise for the RSPCA to raise funds as part of the RSPCA ‘Happy Tails Day’ initiative in October.

Shenton Park Dog Refuge

We choose to support the care and rehoming of dogs in Perth by contributing prizes to the annual Quiz night held by the Shenton Park Dog Refuge.

Onsite program

We support the broader community by taking part in the Onsite program, which enables high school students to gain work experience whilst studying. K9to5 fosters and develops the skills of such students interested in pursuing careers in the animal care industry.

Breast Cancer W.A.

One of our favourite fundraising events is the annual Celebration of Women, Long Table lunch for Breast Cancer W.A. We are proud to be part of the community contributing to the support of Western Australians with breast cancer.

Pet Industy Assocation of Australia

We are proud members of the Pet Industry Association of Australia and we choose to comply with the PIAA Code of Practice and Ethics.

not to mention a few other favourite charities …

The Association for the Blind (Mini Guide Dog Coin Collection), World Animal Protection (formally WSPA), Inclusion W.A, Beyond Blue, Rotary and OXFAM.
